David Hall graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1990 with a B.S. in Education.
After college he worked as an Organizational Development Consultant, and later as a Leadership Guide for Outward Bound, guiding countless at-risk youth and adults on canoe and kayak adventure trips. While restoring an 1887 farmhouse, David discovered that he enjoyed working with his hands, and sought the mentorship of talented, older craftsmen. It was during this time that his love of fine woodworking, furniture building and architecture emerged. His first construction company specialized in the restoration of period homes and porches. David has called the Island ‘home’ since 1998- when he completed his house and studio in the middle of a five acre fir forest. When he is not busy serving his multiple clients, he can be found enjoying the beauty of the natural world – either in his canoe, kayak, or recently restored 1947 MONK cruiser…ever curious about what is around the next corner. |
